Valley Christian School was founded in 1979 in St. Croix Falls, WI as a ministry of the Alliance Church of the Valley and has operated continuously since that time. As the years progressed, God blessed the ministry with students from other churches and communities. In the year 2000 with these new families and students involved in the ministry, the Alliance Church of the Valley released Valley Christian School to become the independent, parent-owned and operated ministry that exists today.

Today, parent involvement is the fuel that makes the ministry of Valley Christian School run. The parents are involved on a number of different levels – board of directors, committees, and chaperones to name a few. Parent involvement in the home is also vital for the success of the school.The year 2009 marks the 30th anniversary of the inception of Valley Christian School.

The year 2009 also marks the physical move from the building that had been home for 27 years to a new site at the First Baptist Church, Taylors Falls, MN.
