JAGUAR NEWS

Greetings VCS friends and family!

It has been a beautiful first two days of school at VCS. We have enjoyed having the students back in the building immensely!  So many have grown taller and so many have stepped into their new grades looking more mature and willing and ready to show new students around.

In 7th-12th grade homeroom I shared with the students that they are the heart of the school’s mission. I shared a little  that, while we use every opportunity to disciple them in Christ, along with their families, that my hope is also that they find joy and safety in the cover of an education from a Christ-centered worldview.  I hope also that these young people may grow to appreciate a Christ-centered education and one day desire this for their own children! That means our grandchildren! What an amazing opportunity we have within these walls and these short years to invest in this way.

Praying for a beautiful school year 2023-2024. We have seen God’s faithfulness and remain dependent upon Him daily, even hourly. He is good.

In Christ,

Kathy Thompson

Parade

Mark your calendars! VCS is planning on being in the Osceola Parade on September 10th! We will need students and staff to walk in the parade and handout freezies to the crowd. We are so proud of our kids! Talk to them and encourage them to join in! VCS wear (t-shirts, etc.) is encouraged!

Dentist

We are trying something new this year! North Lakes Community Clinic will be visiting our school on December 15th. This is a free service to promote good dental health. More information will be coming to you as the date draws closer. The program includes:

  • Oral health education and dental supplies

  • Oral health assessment by a licensed dental professional

  • Fluoride varnish applications

  • Dental sealants and sealant replacement where needed

Senior Trip Fundraiser

The seniors first “trip fundraiser” will be bouquets of flowers from the Richter garden sold in the school office beginning next week! Stop in and pick one up! They are sure to be beautiful.

WELCOME BACK STUDENTS!
