I want to open this newsletter with our most exciting news! We have a new kindergarten teacher! Her name is Rachel Christians and we are so excited to welcome their family to ours. This is shared in her own words: 

I am an enthusiastic, dedicated boy mom who enjoys outdoor adventures in our beautiful state of Wisconsin. I have a background in photography/graphic design and I have loved serving in children’s ministry at my local church. I consider myself a lifelong learner and want to share the love of learning with VCS’s next class of kindergarten students. 

The Christians family toured our school a year ago this past spring and shared their intent to join our student body. Rachel shared that she was a teacher and expressed her interest in that area of service as well.  I look back and give thanks for God’s hand, the seeds he plants, and for His Word that never returns void.  Our Lord has worked abundantly on our behalf! 

The Lord continues to work abundantly on our behalf, not only in staffing needs, filled, but in countless ways both in our school and our community. It is at times overwhelming to consider His provision.  He does not meet only our bare necessities, but He pours out lavishly upon us His very blessings.  Praise Him. It is in my heart and spirit to not restrain my praise. He  keeps His promises and I revisit them frequently.  

I have been meditating on the story of Sarah and Abraham and looking at the complexity of the human condition in relation to trusting the Lord’s very Word.  I’ve considered Hagar’s praise to God, calling Him specifically, El-Roi in Genesis 16. She says, “You are the God who sees me.”  And He is the God who sees us! It is humbling to acknowledge how lacking we truly are in understanding how well and thoroughly He does see us. Nothing is outside His direct or peripheral vision.  All is safely within His grasp and we are held within His hand.  

I pray each one of you has a beautiful weekend with your family.  I pray that the Lord meets your every need.
