Continuing with the “God is” series, I want to focus on “The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth…” (Isa 40:28) In a day gone by, some thought some corporations were everlasting, bastions of the corporate world. In some cases that supposed corporation is still around, but its structure and product is way different. The good news is the LORD is an everlasting unchangeable God. He is the same always no matter the time or dimension.
Equally important is the concept that “the LORD is the Creator of the ends of the earth.” For me springtime is one of the most demonstrative times of the year in terms of putting on display for all to see the wonders of His Creation. This Spring more than others, with the cool weather up to May, everything seemed to explode into life in a matter of hours. Anybody in their right mind cannot dismiss the wonderful beauty that seem to happen overnight – the leafing of the trees, the early flowers just popping out of nowhere, the grass turning green, and the sights and smells of the fruit trees blossoming. The overwhelming love of God being on display.
Here we are, the finish line is in view, just one more day. Thank you for praying us through to this point.
Looking forward to next year’s staffing needs, we need to fill the following positions: MS Math/English, K-12 P.E., 3rd grade, MS/HS History, and MS/HS Math. If you know of anyone that could fill these positions, please encourage them to apply. Also, we could use some additional substitute teachers for the coming year.
The fundraising committee is still seeking 2-3 additional members for the committee beginning with the new school year.
The next regularly scheduled school board meeting is scheduled for June 7, 2022 @ 6pm.
Tomorrow, 5/28 the following activities will be taking place:
- ES Track and Field in the afternoon
- MS Fieldtrip to New Richmond (permission slip needed)
- HS Fieldtrip to Valley Fair (many need to turn in the permission slip yet)
- Parent Prayer meeting – 2pm @the school – to pray for the needed new staff and facilities
VCS graduation Saturday, May 28th @ 2pm.
A couple closing items:
- Parents of HS students please be at the school promptly at 5:30pm to pick up your student returning from Valley Fair.
- During the summertime, I will try to get newsletter out once every other week.
